Marathon Eco-Safe Digester™

Marathon Eco-Safe Digester™
Designed to safely convert up to 1,200 pounds of food waste per day into a liquid that can be returned to the ecosystem. The new Eco-Safe Digester from Marathon is an innovation breakthrough in confronting the growing problem of organic waste processing and disposal.

Benefits

By diverting waste from landfills, the Eco-Safe Digester offers multiple environmental benefits as well as measurable cost savings. For example, using the 1,200-pound capacity unit for one year:
  • Reduces 58 MTCE of greenhouse gases
  • Is equivalent to taking 40 cars off the road
  • Saves 1,700 gallons of diesel fuel (it takes 130 barrels of crude oil to produce 1,200 gallons of diesel fuel)
  • Reduces CO2 by 470,000 pounds
  • Preserves valuable landfill space
  • Is equivalent to planting approximately 100 trees
  • Reduces use of trash bags and rodent control systems
  • Returns tens of thousands of gallons of water a year to the ecosystem

How It Works:

The Eco-Safe Digester™ uses a highly refined formula of microorganisms to break down organic waste into a liquid. This liquid can be safely flushed down the drain, completely eliminating the waste and ultimately enabling the effluent to return to the ecosystem as water.
Within 24 hours, the Eco-Safe Digester will safely and quickly decompose virtually all organic food waste, including:
  • Meat
  • Poultry
  • Fish
  • Fruits
  • Vegetables
  • Rice
  • Pasta
  • Bread
  • Coffee grounds
  • Grains
  • Eggshells
  • Dairy products

RayMax Equipments Sales Ltd. is proud to be a part of Heil's new CNG Truck Program, Supplying Alberta and Canada with a great way to lower its effects on our environment.  CNG emits significantly less pollutants such as carbon dioxide, unburned hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides and particulate matter, compared to petrol. With a 20% percent reduction in green house gases and a decrease in noise pollution this makes Compressed Natural Gas a fuel that is here to stay.  Natural Gas has been used as a motor fuel in Canada for over 20 years. The NGV market started to decline after 1995, sadly reaching today’s vehicle population of about 12,000.

With low CNG prices $.76 per litre, CNG is a very desirable fuel alternative. Compressed natural gas is also popular among fleet operators, who point to lower operating and life-cycle costs, as well as reduced air pollution. CNG vehicles are being used in many fleet applications: airports, delivery services, long-haul trucks, parks, police and traffic enforcement, refuse haulers, buses (school, shuttle and transit) and taxis. Like school buses, there are several factors that make fleet vehicles a great fit for CNG. They are typically high mileage vehicles, so the fuel savings from CNG vs. gasoline is substantial over the life of a vehicle. Plus, the central location of fleets mean they can locate near refueling stations or house their own facility. I dont have to supply facts about CNG fuel, the facts are apparent. In the future it is important for governments, provincially and federally to implement tax breaks and grants to make this a realistic goal towards sustainability here in Canada.
